Hey everyone, good afternoon. I'm Susan Cropp and I'm here for Attitude

Magazine's weekly ADHD experts broadcast. Today we'll be talking to

Dr Roberto Olivardia about the connection between depression and ADHD and adults with detention deficit.

The fact is that 30% of individual people with APHG have had a depressive episode and for

adults with ADHD the risk of developing depression is four times greater than it is for those

without a disorder. So it's four times greater than it is for those without a disorder.

So it's an important topic and Dr. Olavardio will be telling us about some of the specific

risk factors for depression that have been discovered by researchers an adult with ADHD as well as some of the treatment

options both psychotherapy without medication and psychophological that exist today and he'll also give us an overview of some of the brand new treatment

options that have been much in the news. So I think it will be an interesting

talk and I appreciate Dr. Olive Gardia's presence here as always.

attitudes webinar. He is a clinical psychologist and a lecturer in the

Department of Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School. He's in private

psychotherapy practice in Lexington, Massachusetts, where he specializes in the treatment of ADHD, obsessive

compulsive disorder and body dysmorphic disorder and Eating Disorders.

It's an interesting specialty in Eating Disorders.
