0:40.0	Sarah says, I could use your help. The youth pastor sent information about an upcoming lesson for my daughter,
0:47.0	one of which is called What Is the Gospel?
0:50.0	According to the information sent, the Gospel is the ongoing story of our redemption.
0:55.7	As a former progressive Christian, I am very sensitive to false teachings.
0:59.9	The information seems wrong to me.
1:02.3	Isn't the gospel Christ's work of redemption on the cross.
1:05.6	As Ray Comfort has said, in the Old Testament God promises to defeat death.
1:10.2	The New Testament tells us he did it through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
1:15.3	Am I being too picky or is this heading into the realm of Rob Bell and progressive theology?
1:21.1	I don't want to go talk to the youth pastor if I don't have to. Well Sarah, I think this is such a good question and I thank you for this question and I'm sure a lot of parents who are listening to us today might find themselves in similar positions.
1:33.6	So without knowing too much about this lesson,
1:36.7	I'd like to give some points of advice
1:38.7	whenever we encounter a red flag
1:41.3	or something along those lines,
1:42.4	especially when it comes to what's being taught
1:44.2	to our kids and our teens.
