And our film review this week, our film review is Frey Waka.

Haunted by a personal tragedy, home care worker's shoe is sent to a remote village to care for an agoraphobic

woman who fears the neighbours as much as she fears the she. Sinister entities who she believes abducted

her decades before. As the two develop a strangely deep connection, she was consumed by the old woman's

paranoia rituals and superstitions, eventually confronting the horrors from her

own past. Now as always, we're going to do likes and dislikes. I'm going to start with the likes.

And honestly, you guys know that I love stories about Irish folklore in modern Ireland, right?

Brings me such joy to see the old ways being a prominent feature in relatively mainstream horror, and it seems to be

becoming more and more prevalent. Lots of Irish filmmakers are making stories that are all about Irish

folklore, or at least feature Irish folklore heavily, and I'm here for it. I love it. And I think that,

you know, Irish folklore, fairy stories,

stories about the Banshee, all of that. I mean, they were all used to try and explain real

life situations and try and delve into trauma and in a time where people didn't have the

emotional language to be able to talk about those things. They spoke about it through folklore
