How many of you may receive my weekly Sunday commusing article where I address a breadth of issues from the spiritual to the sociopolitical.

And on occasion, I will also record an audio version of these articles and release

it here as a bonus episode. Now, this week's missive explores the coincidence of opposites

that emerge within the natural world and how nature's intelligence yearns to bring these opposites

together and find coherence.

So I hope you enjoy this week's commusing titled String Bean Theory.

The Limp Lone The limp-loan string bean lingering on my plate appears forlorn. I've spared it to make it appear as if my appetite is sated.

This token action is a feeble attempt to make my hostess feel less guilty.

She has inadvertently starved me through serving an extensive buffet of almost exclusively meat dishes.

You see, I'm plant-based now, yawn.

Now, candidly, I was hoping that going vegan would get me invited to less dinner parties.

I'm becoming a curmudgeonly recluse.

I suppose it takes time for the word to spread.

Skyler, who has dragged me to this loathsome affair, has sparked a gratitude circle. And while I enjoy a good

ritual, the outward expression of gratitude, despite my inestimable good fortune, can ring a bit

moccish. As Skyler is snuggled to my left and her initiation of the right has put me at the back

of the line, So we're inching

around the perimeter of the gathering and all the juicy recipients of thankfulness are being

scooped up. Family, friendship, community, health. Staring at my ariko-ver, I'm at a loss for something original to say.

I suppose I should just give my ego a rest and simply echo what is true, if trite.
