I'm a political writer in Washington DC.

I've been covering politics and economic policy here for probably 16 years now.

But I'm also an apple enthusiast, a big fan of during Fireball, big fan of the talk show.

I have been feeling left out of the whole sort of Mac discourse because my keyboard had been working fine.

But just yesterday suddenly it went wonky on me.

So now I can complain with everyone else about this butterfly keyboard.

It's a MacBook Pro from 2017.

17 or 15 or 15 inch.

So literally the device that you could solve this problem by going out and buying a new $2,400.

It's really it's enough to get you into the conspiracy theory.
