This might be a little bit of a short podcast. It's a little bit of a PS as it relates to what we talked about last week

with the cost of ownership.

There's also rolling around in my head

this idea of the overhead of ownership and it has nothing to do with the

money you outlay for repairs for the trailer for the raiser, for the cover for the raiser,

has nothing to do with that. it just has to do with the

overhead of that thing the mental overhead of it where you just think oh I've got to do that

thing oh I've got to put that on my to do list all devotes in my Saturday to maintaining that thing to taking care of that thing washing that thing

Winterizing that thing rapping that thing, whatever it may be. And that overhead can be significant.

Think about the overhead that I get from, say, planting a garden. Yes, you're hoping for a great harvest and I love gardening, but to pretend there was no mental

overhead with that garden once it's planted, not even close. You're thinking, how is the

soil? Is it moist enough? Do I need to measure the pH?

Is it get enough sun?

How will I rotate the crops?

You know, should I re-seow some other lettuce or something?

And there's just always some to-does that are tacked on with anything you undertake.

And when you own something, you are accepting a whole lot of to-do's.

And again, I'm not talking about, last week we were talking about money and insurance costs and repair and maintenance costs.

I'm just talking about the mental overhead of owning a home, an expensive toy, an expensive car that you suddenly feel like you should wash in detail more often.

Just anything where that ownership of the thing demands a little bit of your time.
