One of the central qualities required for a Vedantic student is a spiritual fortitude, where I will put up with

whatever troubles the world throws at me, physical, like heat and cold, you know, bodily, like pain or aches or illness or social, whatever, mental, but I will pursue my quest.

So many people sacrifice a lot to earn money to pursue a career for their creative pursuits

to write a book or to paint a picture.

So spiritual quest demands at least that much commitment, if not more, at least that much

commitment, that I will put up with trouble and suffering and pursue my spiritual quest.

That is called Titikshayan Vedantah, spiritual fortitude.
