In Aporokshanubhuti, we were doing the 52nd verse.

We're going to do the 53rd verse today.

Aadi Shankaracharya, having ascertained the nature of the self, Atman,

first by a series of intricate arguments to show us that we are not the body,

which we consider ourselves to be.

We consider, if you say what is the self, what is the Atman, who are you, and the body.

We don't say it outright. If somebody asks especially when we have been coming to Vedantah for a long time, we'll say,

oh, I am pure consciousness.

But though we may say it, we behave as if we were bodies.

So our conviction, our feeling is that we are this body.
