had over flexible joints, so I just figured the running and fitness life wasn't for me.

Dated some guys who went to the gym, and they introduced me a bit to fitness, but I always fell out of going, because it was always for someone else and to be skinnier for dance.

I would also only be consistent in the gym for about three months, and then I would fall off the wagon.

After a last bad dance injury, I quit and honestly focused all my time on school, and in my mind,

why spend an hour at the gym that I could spend studying for class? So that's what I did.

No gym or activity, only studying during the school semesters, and I'd work out over the summers.

However, after some devastating health news, I have degenerative joint disorder in my face and

need intensive reconstruction. I had doctors' orders to become as healthy as I possibly could,

physically and mentally in order to maintain joint health and the rest of my body,

decrease inflammation through diet and exercise exercise and build lifelong habits that would

hopefully prevent premature joint replacements and maintain a positive outlook in the process.

In May, I really started working towards my health, changing my diet up and creating a good gym

routine. I focus more on cardio and lifting lighter weights as a focus

to shed excess adipose tissue and honestly just kept me or to keep me going to the gym and staying

active. As I saw changes in my body around month five, I became obsessed. Now I'm six months pre-op

and I had to bite the bullet and start lifting heavier, changing my diet again and focusing on muscle gains,
