We know what it's like and we know that the vast majority, almost exclusively police officers across this country are good honest citizens.

We have had more officers killed in 2021 than since 9-11.

There are assassinations taking place. They are hunting and stalking these officers.

Hello and welcome to the best case worst case. This is Jim Clemente, you retired FBI profiler former New York City prosecutor and executive producer of Fox's America's most wanted and with me today is.

Hi everybody it's francey hates former state and federal prosecutor and senior producer on Fox's America's most wanted Jim you are not going to believe this we have.

I don't know I might be the first time this is an epic show with a dream team and all star panel starting with.

So francey why don't you dive right in.

This war on police we have had more officers killed in 2021. I think it was 73 then since 9-11 and in the last several months it seems to me that they're being ambushed and killed there was a young mother police officer sitting in her car and Baltimore ambushed and just shot the death in her car.

There were two officers very young 22 and 27 in New York police department who just a couple of weeks ago were ambushed and shot and killed responding to a domestic incident.

And this seems to me to be nothing less than a war on cops and I think people are hunting police officers and when you have people like LeBron James weighing in and saying every time he goes outside cops are hunting him. I think culture is contributing all these calls for defund the police and the police are enemies and the police are hunting.

People I think all of it is is a huge issue and I wanted to get this panel together so we could address it right Jim I mean it's a huge problem.

Well I think you mentioned a bunch of the issues right there that there are people who actually believe that we don't need the police that the police are a negative force in our world.

But we all see the spike in crime that has occurred over the last couple of years and much of that is due to the fact that people are trying to defund police people don't respect the police and people who would normally become police officers refuse to do so for the most part because of this incredibly negative atmosphere.

And we all know because everybody on this panel has served as a government employee as part of the government the justice system and most of us in a investigator and police capacity that we know what it's like and we know that the vast majority.

And almost exclusively police officers across this country are good honest citizens who do not engage in racial behavior in racism or bias or hatred or or.

Unwarranted violence there are some that have and they have been brought to justice and they should continue to be brought to justice but that is a minute fraction of the police officers that are out there more you want to win.

I do I think as the wife mother my only son is a police officer granddaughter sister cousin niece i mean you name it of a local law enforcement and as a retired FBI agent i can tell you firsthand that.

You know law enforcement they run into situations that are horrible they go toward dangerous situations if someone yelled in a crowd gun gun shots fired everyone will be running in one direction and law enforcement would be running right toward it and that's a very certain very specific type of person and what's what's happening right now in this country is in fact a war on law enforcement and it is it is sparking this this collective trauma in all the world.

In all of us that have worked in this arena we we always back our brothers and sisters and blue we watch in horror as.

You know African American female law enforcement officers are being shot in the face in the car while they're just sitting there having lunch and everyone else on the spectrum that's being shot by by these people it is just a lack of respect for.
