Proverbs chapter 3 is just full of great stuff. I mean every chapter of

scripture is but Proverbs 3 has some verses that just pop in my eyes. I mean, they just resonate with me.

Versus 5 and 6 are some of the most popular or well known verses in all of the book of

Proverbs I believe and it says this says trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

In all your ways submit to him or some versions say, acknowledge him.

unravel the truth that's here. Now first of all he uses that word trust. We all have a sort of a conception of what trust is, but

do we really understand what it is? Trust is not some nebulous thing. It's not an ambiguous hoping or wishing. It is a

reliance on something that is real. Okay, so it's very different from wishing in that sense. Trust is putting your

dependence in something and in this case Solomon says trust in the Lord. So we are to understand who the Lord is to understand his

faithfulness, his competence, his power, his wisdom, and realize he is absolutely trustworthy.
