about emotional discomfort and why it can be important to experience it if you want to make

Now the reason why I thought I'd talk about this is because emotional discomfort is often seen

as a negative thing and something to be avoided. I know lots of people, myself included,

start trying to numb discomfort with TV or distractions, and while this strategy can work to

minimize discomfort sometimes, I think we're also missing out on a really big opportunity,

because I think when we embrace discomfort and learn how to use it well, it can actually be a

positive thing. I also want to normalise discomfort a little bit because we all do feel it at

times, but not everybody talks about it. And so you might feel kind of lonely or like there's

something wrong with you if you experience discomfort, which I think can also feed that negative

perception of discomfort. So first of all, you might be wondering what I mean when I say discomfort,

and I'd love to give you a few examples to help explain it.

Have you ever woken up in the morning and started thinking about something you really want to change in your life?
