0:37.8	some different people about their squiggly career and understand how they had developed in different
0:42.3	directions. So our conversations this week have included my chat with Jim McLeod, a Royal Navy
0:48.1	Rear Admiral about how you can squiggle and stay in an organisation. Sarah's conversation with
0:53.7	Steph Douglas, all about running
0:55.0	your own businesses and how you do that and the challenges that are inevitable as an entrepreneur.
1:00.3	Sarah talked to Eric Sim as well about his career story of resilience and bravery and lots of
1:05.8	pivots in his story as well. And today you're going to hear me talking to Simon Monday, a BBC journalist, also
1:13.1	the presenter on the Life Lessons podcast and a friend of amazing if, big fan of Simon.
1:18.3	And his career story is really all about how you create opportunities. I really liked how
1:24.1	Simon talked about, you know, even when you're in a large organisation, sometimes you can feel a bit stuck. You can feel a bit siloed or a bit constrained in your career.
1:32.7	And Simon felt like that at one point when he was at the BBC. And so he decided that he was going
1:37.2	to really start pushing his progression and creating opportunities for himself that didn't exist
1:42.9	until he did them.
1:49.5	And I think there's a lot to learn from Simon's approach and to think about how we can create those opportunities for ourselves.
1:51.9	I don't know if I could go full on Simon, but I could definitely start a bit, Simon,
