Hey guys welcome to episode number 268 of the Industrial Strength Show on today's episode I will be going in depth on three different topics,

0:12.8

starting with the very timely topic of how to,

0:18.9

the best way to train after a layoff.

0:22.0

A lot of us, hopefully most of you haven't done nothing for the past two and a half months, but for a lot of us you might consider it a long deload. We've been away from a fully equipped gym and

0:37.9

now that gyms are starting to open back up I've been getting a lot of questions on what's the best way

0:45.4

to safely get back into training, progress

0:49.4

without injuring myself and setting myself back another one to two months.

0:54.4

So that's the first topic discussed on today's show.

0:59.4

Then the second topic, this is one that's been coming up a lot over the last six to eight

1:05.4

months and that is how to prepare for the new Army Combat Fitness Test. The Army changed their testing after what feels like a hundred years

1:17.6

But I think it's been for 40 to 50 years close to, they finally changed their fitness testing.

1:25.0

So I give my thoughts on that.

1:27.1

Also, how to prepare for that fitness test.

1:31.0

So if you, even if you're not in the military you're not you're not trying to go and get ready and

1:38.0

You're not you're not training to become a soldier if you are a trainer, I think you will find

1:45.4

that portion of today's podcast,

1:47.8

very interesting, because I kind of just think

1:51.5

it through in real time. I didn't prepare ahead of time. I just went through the tests and put together a weekly template

1:59.1

How I feel would be the best way to train for the new tests.

2:05.7

So for the trainers, I think you'll enjoy the programming aspect of it.

2:10.6

And if you're just like a washed up meathead a fitness fanatic and I mentioned this in the

2:15.9

podcast I think you training for those tests might just be a fun way for you to train because it covers all different aspects of strength and fitness.
