Instagram that captured my thoughts regarding the Joe Rogan Spotify situation.

And subsequently, I was encouraged by members of my team to release that audio here as a podcast episode.

Now, it may work better in video format.

I'm not totally sure.

if that's your preferred medium. I don't always like jumping into current events. That's not

the core nature of this show. But as I explain, I feel a particular connection as a podcast host

to this conversation.

So I titled it Rogan, Journalism, and Free Speech.

Thanks for listening. I am diving into the shark-infested Joe Rogan debate,

and I'm not sure the world needs another viewpoint on this particular issue,

but I do think I have a specific insight given that I am a podcast host.

So I know what Joe does day in and day out. And I have interviewed folks across the spectrum of COVID.

I've had microbiologists and ICU doctors on the show like Roger Schwellt and Stacey

Clutz and author scientists like Jonathan Berman. And then I've had people with diverging opinions

like Dr. Zach Bush. And I even had Robert Kennedy on the show at one point. And, you know,

I actually exchanged, or my assistant honestly exchanged emails with Dr. Robert

Malone last August. And we had plans for him to come on the show. And then he got quite busy.

Now, I will say that while I've built up a nice podcast of hundreds of thousands of listeners, Joe's audiences,

tens of millions of listeners. So it's order of magnitude bigger. But I still, I think,

have an insight into what it's like to host a podcast. And then parenthetically, I also
