0:34.6	with plans being announced to create a historic bourbon tourism experience at the shuttered T.W. Samuels Distillery, which is 10 minutes from downtown
0:42.4	Bardstown, Kentucky. What will be known as the Old Samuels distillery will initially start
0:47.0	with an intimate tour of the premises historic structures, followed by a retail gift shop,
0:52.2	and around four dozen private cottages will be available for overnight accommodations
0:56.0	where guests can find locally inspired food and drink at its restaurant, bar, and tasting room.
1:01.0	Now here's a bit of a history lesson on this old distillery.
1:03.0	T.W. Samuels created his namesake distillery in 1844,
1:07.0	and was operated by his sons until Prohibition began in 1920. And when the great social and economic experiment ended in 1933,
1:14.6	third-generation distiller T.W. Samuels built a new distillery near the original site,
1:19.6	where he made whiskey that was lauded for its high quality.
1:22.6	And though whiskey making at the T.W. Samuels Distillery ended in 1952,
1:26.6	the plant was used a bottle bottle water for several decades afterwards.
