What's going on, everyone? Welcome to another episode of the fit, healthy, and most of all, happy

0:05.7

podcast. I'm your coach and host, Josh, here with his co-host and co-coach, KG, and I'm on the mic.

0:12.0

Let's go. That one was fire. I just made us redo it because we got to make sure we come in with that

0:16.8

real energy. This is Motivation Monday after all, where we answer your questions, discuss our

0:22.0

favorite quotes, go over some thoughts and shout out a client who is really killing it. So let's let

0:27.0

Mr. KG start out with his quote of the week. I will say one small thing is like we kind of have to be

0:32.5

motivated in order to do this motivation Monday. You know, it's it's cool because even if I'm not

0:37.1

always feeling it, like I feel like I have to bring the energy and people love the energy. Tell them how you got cooked when we did the COVID episode. Yeah, so there's that one episode. Some of you probably remember and some of you maybe were thinking it. I was like, you know, just my voice was a bit down and just, it's not the

0:54.3

same. Like, and I'll never forget, that was probably the only episode that I feel like the energy was

0:58.0

a bit down. And a couple of my clients message me, they're like, hey, it was really hard to, you know, listen to the episode. You're just, you weren't yourself, you know, and I could tell Josh was a little bit different too.

1:07.3

So lesson learned, you know, you got to make those mistakes to learn to keep, to keep moving forward.

1:13.1

So here we are.

1:13.7

Yeah.

1:14.5

Yeah. too. So lesson learned, you know, you got to make those mistakes to, to learn to keep, to keep moving forward. So here we are with that. Yeah, motivation. You got to roll with the punches, right? Like even for us, we're filming over Zoom right now because of, you know, lockdown orders and all that stuff. And, you know, it's definitely not as motivating. We're saying like being in a room, just being able to talk with no leg, nothing like that is definitely a lot easier. You know, with no other really distractions when we're in our podcasting space. But the end of the day, you got to get it done. You got to find a solution to get energized. And, you know, I know a lot of people have transitioned from home workouts to gym, gym to home, all these crazy things, different gyms. And, you know, but I think it is, once again, a good example to be flexible and be adaptable. You know, myself and Kyle were talking recently. We know someone who gets very caught up, you know, in doing one thing. And if there's any change or any variance, you know, it's kind of like it causes that person to kind of freeze up and be unsure and overthink it and you know we're saying how important we think it is the trade of being adaptable is and how powerful of a trait that is you know where you say okay here's a little bit of roadblock what's the solution my car broke down can't go to the gym today I'm going to crush a home workout what my car is going to fix like you know there is solutions you know I really encourage everyone to look for them to find them uh and you know there's a good little side tangent anything that out there yeah even like we did i did a story the other day saying now i can only work out three times a week versus like five times before you know going into the gym like i had all day now like i'm super rushed and stuff so you just, you just have to be able to adapt. Like, it's not the ideal situation, but, you know, I just want to let a lot of people know that we're going through this stuff as well. And then, you know, this kind of ties into my quote as well. You can have results or excuses, not both. And I've said, this is my favorite quote to date. like a lot of times people will put me on the spot. They're like, what's your quote? Like, what's one quote? You know, and I'm just like, that's, that's the one. And, you know, I want to call some people out today. I could be talking to you, or maybe I'm not talking to you, but I do find a lot of people just have so many excuses. And when you kind of talk, you know, tie into that adaptability thing that we were just saying is like, you know, at the end of the day, you just got to keep moving forward. You just got to keep finding ways. And like, I'll ask people, hey, so like, what's going on in your fitness journey? Like, how can you're not able to eat healthy? And it's just like, excuse after excuse after excuse and trust me I know there's factors I do believe there's a

3:26.8

difference between a factor and and you're not able to eat healthy. And it's just like excuse after excuse after excuse.

3:42.0

And trust me, I know there's factors. I do believe there's a difference between a factor and an excuse. A factor is a reason that might, you know, hold you back a little bit. Maybe one reason why you weren't able to get in the gym. But a lot of times people don't get those results because they're so use to making those excuses. It's literally a habit. So train yourself to either pick.

3:42.9

Which one do you want?

3:59.0

Do you want a result or results? Or do you want to give an excuse? Which one do you choose? You can only have one. And that's my quote for the week. Yeah, that was a perfect segue from that little talk we had there. And, you know, this is one I always liked. You know, I remember back in the day, Kyle was, you know,

3:59.7

he loved this quote.

4:31.2

He'd say to everyone to the point where people would be like, just stop, man. But that's how you know you're doing it right. And he used to bug his mom with it too. Like you'd make these videos where like he'd say, oh, I was squatting so heavy. you know, I almost phew, but results are excuses. And, you know, it's so funny, though, because there is so much truth behind that and I think all of us you know we look for excuses it's natural right like you know my alarm goes off I'm like oh you know why not sleep in 30 minutes I can afford it or oh is it that bad to skip one workout you know like we can I always tell people you can be your best advantage or your worst enemy, right?

4:48.9

And if you can look for those results and, you know, really get at it, that's how you're going to get it done. It's easy to look for that excuse. But I really challenge everyone instead of looking for reasons not to achieve something to not be successful with it, to really look for that. Hey, I can do this. Here's how I'm going to do this. I'm going to get it done. and it's a great mind mindset shift.

4:50.7

I love it, man.
