Now, what we call addiction in varying degrees is an extreme version of a habit.

Dr. A. Thomas Horveth wrote that. And he said it's the habit of

repeated involvement with anything despite excessive costs because of craving. All right? So it's

repeated involvement. There's these excessive costs that come along with it, but we keep going back to it because of

patterns of craving. But at the end of the day, it's a habit, just like any other habit in your life.

And so overcoming addiction or recovery, we define as the process of transforming our habits.
