0:07.0 | And also joining us tonight is Dave Burke, good evening, Dave. Good evening. |
0:12.0 | So why is Dave Burke joining us? Well, there could be a multitude of reasons. |
0:17.0 | But one of my favorite reasons is when the Marine Corps releases a new doctrinal publication, |
0:22.0 | which they just did, it came out on December 16th, 2020. |
0:27.0 | And as soon as it came out, I sent Dave a text and said, hey, there's a new pub out. |

1:35.0 | So what was I seeing underneath competing? What I was seeing was influencing. |
1:42.0 | And as soon as I identified that correlation, I kept seeing it. |
1:48.0 | And we'll share with you today, not just the aspects of competing with others, |
1:56.0 | but how this continuum of competition reflects the continuum of influence. |
2:05.0 | And of course, if you better understand both of them, you will be able to do both of these things better. |
2:11.0 | You'll only get better at competing against your enemy or against your rival, but you'll also become better at leading. |
