And he was the same thing soaked in blood. And I didn't get a good look at what his injuries

look like.

Melrose is a small unincorporated community in Florida, just 17 miles east of Gainesville. It's a charming area with its history dating back to the 19th century when it was first

settled. Originally the area was inhabited by Native American tribes before European settlers arrived.

The community of Melrose began to take shape around the shores of Lake Santa Fe, and was eventually named Melrose after Melrose in Scotland.

The area quickly grew as a key location for citrus farming due to the fertile soil and favorable climate.

Throughout the 20th century Melrose evolved from an agricultural hub into a residential

and recreational community. The natural beauty of the area, including numerous lakes and forests, attracted artists, retirees and those seeking a quieter lifestyle.

Today Melrose maintains its small town charm and it's known for its thriving

art scene. It's the kind of place where people know their neighbors and take care of one

another.

But on the 26th of August 2020, the fabric of Melrose was forever changed.

That morning, detectives raced to a home along the rural Shiloh Road.

Report had come in that two boys were found dead. Dayton Scott Baker was born on the 12th of June 2006 to parents Chad and

Sarah who had been married since 2005.

His younger brother, Robert Andrew Baker,

followed on the 18th of September 2007.

The family also included a little brother, Landon,

who joined them in 2016.

The boys also had two older half-brothers, Colton and Kobe, who had come from a previous
