Malborn is often regarded as Australia's cultural capital.

It's a vibrant and cosmopolitan city located in the southeastern state of Victoria.

Nestled close to the residential colleges of Melbourne University to the South Lies Prince's Park.

Since it has one of the city's most popular running tracks, it's often teaming with

young students.

It was originally established in the 19th century, but has evolved into a popular recreational space.

The park spans about 38 hectares and features lush greenery, open spaces and recreational facilities.

One of the park's most notable features is the historic Prince's Park Oval, which has a long and storied history in Australian rules football.

The Oval is the former home ground of the Carleton Football Club, one of the oldest and most successful

clubs in the Australian Football League.

The club played its home games at Prince's Park until 2005, before relocating to the Melbourne Cricket Ground and later to Marvel Stadium.

Beside Princess Park lies Melbourne General Cemetery and to the north it borders a corner of Royal Parade and Park Street.

It's close to all of the pubs that Dot Sydney Road, and is seen as a shortcut for people making

their way to him from work or to him from pubs.

In March of 2018 a woman was sexually assaulted close to Princess Park. The assailant had approached the woman from behind, trapped her in a bear hug, and the pair fell to the ground where he sexually assaulted her.

The victim screamed within earshot of nearby homes and managed to escape.

She later commented, it was the only time I thought someone could rip me out of this world.

The incident left a palpable fear in its wake, with many women

hesitating to walk the park's paths alone, especially after dark. Tragically, however, less than three months later, another young woman would confront
