Summary

Thanksgiving might not go the way you want. This whole year hasn’t gone as planned. Let’s struggle well this Thanksgiving by blessing our mother-in-laws and our difficult cousins and our rude grandpas by JUST being happy to be there. Or maybe you are skipping Thanksgiving this year or turning it on it’s head and ordering Domino’s. Struggle well through that!

Consider yourself challenged, friend. In response to every Thanksgiving decision or plan change or food mishap; have a perspective shift towards grace. Practice in the mirror responding “That’s perfect“ to anything that you think might be coming your way. Let’s make it a year to remember!

WHAT WE CHAT ABOUT:
  • How our families are handling Thanksgiving during COVID
  • Emily’s mother-in-law thinks everything she does is “just perfect”
  • Costco is taking a stand on monkey labor
  • Does anyone even like turkey?
  • Katie’s in-law turkey noodle tradition
  • Rebecky has been challenged to make a turkey this year
  • Permission has been granted to veer from traditional food + decorate for Christmas
  • Our favorite desserts: apple pie, sweet potato pie and sweet potato casserole
  • Solving the problem: cousin awkwardness at the holidays with a phone jail
  • Blessing your mother-in-law with a perspective shift
  • Random problem solved for a listener on kids watching scary movies
  • Katie’s entrance into the Better Life cult
  • Rebecky’s open curtain policy
  • Emily moving towards being a home-school mom again
  • The curse of the West Elm couch
