Prior to the Financial Times, she was a reporter at Reuters and wrote for the economist.

Well, as I said before we recorded, you have a very unique take, and for Americans, I think

a very British take on things, a rye humor, as it were.

And the two things that you wrote that I read, that as I noted were of note to a group

like ours is the stuff that you've written about Donald Trump.

One was a little while ago about a visit to Mara Lago, a travel log almost of Palm Beach.

And the second, more recent one, was about how Trump is funny.

And I think that that's lost when you're in a fight or you see the man and, you know, smoke comes out of years.

It's hard to see that part of it.

So tell us about your explorations through Magaland a little bit.

Well, actually, I think it was the visit to Mar-a-Lago that kind of inspired that column in the first place because I met Trump and I wasn't actually sure that I was going to.

I didn't approach the story by kind of trying to set up an interview with him.
