I got to say, welcome back to the States. I just, I mean, I know you from San Diego,

but I didn't, I don't think I even realized that you lived in Barcelona now. I mean, it's been like six years you said.

Yeah, just over six years. I'm jealous. I tell you, like Barcelona is the place to go for a skate.

I tell every skater, if you skate, you have to go to Barcelona. We know you love it.

We have to go to Barcelona. We love it. Did you go there for the first time? You're like, I'm going to stay here.

Yeah, how did that move come about?

So I have to backtrack about 13 years. I think we got time, right?

So it goes back to when I was 20, 14 years ago. I was looking for a room to rent in San Diego where I grew up my whole my life.

And my good homey Ben Shapec, I don't know.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's crazy. It's weird when you try to retrace your footsteps to like see how you got somewhere.

And when you can actually like pinpoint a crucial factor, this is one of those points in my life where I didn't realize it at the moment, but looking back, thank you, Ben Shapec.

Okay.

He had already established a good friendship with like the crew and Madrid, like the skaters back in the day when he lived there on like a foreign exchange student thing.

Oh, sick.

And so when he was back in San Diego, well, he's originally from Maine, but when he was living in San Diego, all those dudes from Madrid, they came out for a year.

They all got visas and came out for a year to stay in San Diego and some of them went to school or like got the student visa, came out to skate and shit.

For sure.
