I am so happy you decided to join me today for a little bit of time. I don't know what you've noticed, and I don't know where you live, so it may not be the same where you live, but it is getting chilly in upstate New York and the leaves are really starting to change.

And with this time of year, for a lot of folks comes a lot of emotions and especially this year because 2020 has been some kind of

thing as we all know that the colder weather the shorter days for many people sparks a seasonal type of

depression it's called winter onset so or sometimes it's referred to a seasonal effective disorder or sad is the acronym.

So you wrote into me telling me you were experiencing this and what could you do about it so I've got a couple of ideas.

There's colder temperatures, darker mornings and this can be really challenging. The days are getting shorter and I think that there are two

camps so let's talk about both of them. One is I have friends and I've had many

clients over the years who just identify as warm weather people.

So they don't like the winter, they are the moment it starts to get cold they're complaining they're bitter they got to put their

flip-flops away they're bummed out that's different though than the people who feel

really debilitated by the change in weather because you are talking

about a physiological, actually biological reaction. So with the onset of seasonal effective disorder, let's just talk a little bit about
