I think the age of the courtesan seems to be coming back because I'm noticing that women

are incredibly intelligent and well-read and just they are great conversationalists and

funny and all of those things that you hear about the courtesans having been

that was something to be with you would be the mistress of the king or someone else in

highly placed position you weren't what people think of you know prostitutes being today

basically like street trash or throwaways right you know I feel like that that's sort of

coming back you know women are they're incorporating sex work into something that's bigger they're

they're it's part of their identity and it's part of their their sexuality and they control it

and they work it like a business right you know right which honestly how is that different from

marriage

and keep your freak to yourself but your mind align to you all this time

as kids there are people who are being pushed into it by asshole boyfriends drug addiction

they're everywhere you look you're gonna find those people and I think what's really interesting

is how as a society we demonize anything having to do with sexuality in a way that we don't demonize

that precise same thing in other parts of our society I think about that when people talk about

sexual trafficking and and people who are forced into sex work or not even forced into it explicitly

or directly but you talk about prostitution in a place like Thailand and or Vietnam or some
