| 0:29.0 | This is something we're all going to go through in life. We are going to suffer. |
| 0:35.0 | It's inevitable. It's part of the human conditioning. |

| 0:48.1 | may be in the hospital because of an illness, others of us may be heartbroken because of the end of a loving relationship. |

| 1:02.2 | We all know the stories of suffering. But in today's |
| 1:06.2 | podcast I want to look at what do we do with suffering? What are our options? There are three. We can suppress them, we can feel them, and we can grow from them. |
| 1:20.0 | Let me explain. The first one we can suppress them is often the most tempting and what many, many people do. |
| 1:31.0 | Perhaps most people do this one. It's why there is so much suffering in the world. |
| 1:36.0 | Because when we suppress our suffering, it doesn't go away, it just gets put aside for a little bit, and then we need more and more to suppress it. |

| 1:50.7 | Have you ever gone to a movie or watch television where someone breaks up with the love of their life and then they go off and get severely drunk for two or three days in a row, come out of it, and then they move on. |

| 2:07.4 | When we have suffering, what we do is we turn sometimes the substances, sometimes to other people. |
