We're going to talk with a special guest about why he thinks it's so important for every

Christian to understand classical theosam. We're going to talk to Dr. Brian Huffling in just

a moment. Well, I'm so excited for today's podcast, not only because of who my guest is, but because of

the topic we will be discussing. One of the reasons I'm so thrilled to have Dr. Brian Huffling on

today is because when I was having a bit of a crisis of faith, I began auditing classes at Southern

Evangelical Seminary. I've talked about this before on the podcast and in my blog. And for several of the

classes that I took, Dr. Huffling was my professor. So much of what I initially learned about theology and

apologetics came from him. So it's really an honor to get to talk to him on the podcast today. So

Brian has three master's degrees in apologetics, philosophy and biblical studies, a PhD in the philosophy

of religion. This is all from Southern Evangelical Seminary or SES. He's currently the director of the

PhD program and assistant professor of philosophy and theology at SES. So there is no one more qualified to

talk about this meaty theological topic that we're going to tackle today. He has a brand new website that you

Well, we have a lot to get into and I want to set this up in a way that will be accessible to Christians

who may not have given a lot of thought to the idea of classical theism before it may not even

know what that means. So let's before we even get to the definition of that, let's first talk a little bit about

philosophy. I have found that in Christian circles, that word can be a bit misunderstood. I think I

misunderstood that word before I started studying. I somehow saw philosophy as an enemy of faith or as

something that's, you know, secular and we shouldn't be thinking that way as Christians. So why don't you start by
