Podcast, Welcome back. My name is Ben. It's been a long summer. It's been a long time since the last

episode of the Thinking Basketball Podcast. Over the course of this summer, though I have

done other podcasts including the Athletics All Axies' new show, was Seth Part now talking about

analytics and stats and breaking the game down from that perspective.

That was fun.

And another one I did recently was RealGM Radio with Danny Lourieu and

Danny happens to be the guest for today. I invited Danny to come on really to talk

about the different sides of the aging curve.

So the impetus for this conversation was who is going to change in a material way.

I mostly focused on players under 25.

Danny included some older guys,

sort of that classic like breakout player model,

who's gonna burst out under the scene.

And the goal behind the conversation

and what we kind of worked up to and preparing to record was thinking about why.

So is it a team situation?

What other areas can a player improve on the court can he get better

at rim finishing how does physical maturity impact these things how does

advancing or developing shot impact these things how does teammate impact that so we'll talk a lot about that today

we do make all kinds of you know we both have our players in mind so that I make good fodder in the fall to go back and certainly at least make fun of the guys who I earmarked for this who didn't pan out but hopefully we did okay and kind of sizing up the most likely candidates if you will so it's most likely candidates for players to break out and then coming back later on it'll be a different episode in the future we will get to we just ended up recording so long we couldn't get there
