Summary

Kori Andrews is a full time seminary teacher, speaker, and founder of Hi5Live, a community with weekly lives on spiritual motivational topics. Kori bravely shared his story of having a baby in the NICU at primary children’s hospital when I met him a couple summers ago at aspen grove family camp in Utah, where we were both speaking. His baby has since passed away, but the beautiful lessons that Kori shared through that experience have touched me so much that I really wanted him to share his experience with you here too. As he relives the experience of his “last cupcake girl,” the nickname they gave this baby girl Kamryn, he also shares how his belief in God and the atonement of Jesus Christ carried him through it all.

1:16.7

How did you meet your wife? Yeah. So Katie and I, I'm from Idaho originally. She's from down in St. George

1:25.8

originally. And so we, you know, we wouldn't have had a

1:31.1

chance to me except for I was a counselor at a youth program called EFY a few years back.

1:38.3

Love EFY. Yeah, so fun. I loved it. And I had a blast being a counselor there. But it was also, you know, kind of kind of

1:47.2

keeping an eye out for anyone that it might be datable. And at one point, I just had this random

1:52.2

idea like, hey, you should ask the youth if they have any referrals for you. And so I got them

1:56.7

together. And I said, hey, guys, you know, I was just wondering if you might sort of maybe possibly

2:02.6

have any older sisters that you might want to take me in contact with. And most of them were like,
