Summary

Keeping an eternal perspective helps us face the challenges of life because it reminds us that this life is temporary and this is not our home. We are only here for a little while so let’s not get so caught up in the things that won’t matter in the end. Keeping an eternal perspective will also help us overcome our fears and not let our fears stop us when we remember it’s all temporary anyway. There is nothing to be so afraid of other than not doing what we are here to do!

0:15.6	heart to share more than ever is the reminder that we all need oftentimes, and that is that this is not our home.
0:23.9	This earth here, this temporary life is not our home.
0:26.9	We are citizens of heaven.
0:28.9	That is our home, and we're here just for a little while.
0:32.1	You know, we all know that this is temporary.
0:34.4	We all know that we're going to take our last breath and that we don't know when that is, but we also all know that we're not going to take any of this with us
0:40.7	when we go. However, while we're living here in this physical world, it's just so easy to get so
0:46.6	caught up in it and think that this is everything. You know, we want to, of course, live our best
0:52.0	life and build our best life possible while we're here,
0:55.2	but we never want to get so attached to the things and never want to get so attached to
1:00.6	making this our home when it's not our home. This is a temporary time that we're here.
1:05.6	And I cannot think of a more profound reminder of that than what we have seen go on just here in America
1:13.1	in the last few months between the hurricanes that devastated Florida, Tennessee, and
1:18.0	the mountains in North Carolina. And now the fires in L.A. So many people are losing everything
1:27.1	they own. They're losing their homes. They're losing their
1:30.3	belongings. In a flash of a second, everything they have built is gone. And it's such a reminder of how
1:39.1	temporary this is that we don't take any of it with us when we go and how quickly it can all be gone. Not only how
1:45.9	quickly can all of the things of the world be gone, but how quickly our own life is going by as well.
