DA Mitch Morrissey. She's the adorable little girl whose murder has baffled investigators for the

last 25 years. In the 90s, there would be three murders in one night on a Saturday night.

Do you think that really drove you to seek justice for as many families as possible?

Newly released court documents show a grand jury's indicted the girl's parents,

but Colorado prosecutors declined to file charges against them.

People felt like if we can't figure out who actually murdered John Benei,

there's enough circumstantial evidence. I think there's more than that,

John Benei's parents were involved in a cover-up or something that occurred.

I think most prosecutors believe it's the last thing in the world you want to do is

convict an innocent person of something they didn't do.

Welcome to the show. Well, thanks for having me. It's very nice to meet

with people that are interested in this. We've talked about a lot of stuff and hopefully we get to a

lot of the topics that we've already talked about. We've been chatting for the past hour,

and I wish we just brought the microphones in there because we're getting so many good things.

I just wanted to elaborate a little bit for those. Obviously, I'll let you introduce yourself a little

bit more. Mitch Morrissey is the former Denver district attorney and he worked there for many,

many years. But now has a company called United Data Connect that works in genealogy,

DNA testing to help solve cold cases, specifically around unsolved homicides and sexual assault cases.
