I was thinking the Mac Pro design speculation, that could be pretty much any time before WBDC probably every every time every day is Mac Pro speculation day

0:07.3

Yeah, right me

0:10.0

I was thinking too like I like I probably like we probably have done too much Mac Pro stuff recently

0:15.3

So we could use it like a few weeks break from that. Oh, thank God. Disagree

0:21.3

We should start with follow up Peter then brokhoven

0:25.1

Has some thoughts about Apple's hesitation to do battery replacements and he writes in that

0:32.0

One of the reasons that they really don't like to do battery replacements is that if they can't get the battery out

0:36.8

cleanly then they'll replace the whole phone

0:39.6

But they'll do it for the cost of just that battery replacement. So

0:45.0

He said he had an older phone. I think he said like a five-ass or something like that that he still was running on the original battery went to the Apple store

0:51.6

He asked them to replace the battery they botched it and so he got himself a brand new five-ass for $90 whatever dollars to $30 whatever the cost is now

1:00.4

And that that explains to me anyway why they're super reticent to to be doing battery replacements unless they're really sure it's necessary

1:08.7

Yeah, and that you know even if you're willing to pay like oh well, you know just take my money

1:13.2

I'm willing to pay for the battery replacements like yeah, but this battery replacement could change from even from an $80 bill

1:19.3

With the old price into something they cost Apple you know

1:23.4

Several hundred dollars to give you basically a brand new phone because they couldn't get the battery out

1:26.9

But it could be argued well Apple thrown stupid fault for making phones that you can't get the batteries out of without destroying them

1:32.9

So maybe the next time you design a phone make it easier to get the battery in and out and they probably have because he's talking about a five-ass

1:38.6

And there's been many phones since then and so

1:41.5

Designing designing phones for service ability is I think something that Apple has been

1:47.1

I think it's probably like an arc like the first ones are probably reasonably serviceable just because they were simpler and then they probably got a lot less

1:53.7

There's a serviceable as they got thinner and more complicated
