0:00.0	Welcome to a tech policy podcast. I'm Ashken Kuzarian. On today's show, we're going to talk about 5G for good and what T-Mobile is doing right now with their business. Joining us as vice president of federal government and external affairs, Mary Silla Dixon. Mary,

0:26.9	honored and glad to be here today. It's so amazing to have you with us. And let's just jump right in
0:33.4	and start off with a very new and kind of shocking the world.
0:38.0	And everyone is talking about news is John Ledger, the CEO, the Magenta Prince of T-Mobile,
0:45.6	announced that he's going to step down from his position next year.
0:50.3	Can you give us some insider information or what's going on?
0:59.0	I'm guessing this transition was planned and we just no one knew about it. But what is the future for a team mobile?
1:01.0	Well, the future for the new team mobile is bright.
1:04.0	And yes, our fearless, amazing leader, John Ledger did announce that he is stepping down at the end of April.
1:13.5	But we are also going to be led for the new T-Mobile.
1:17.4	We're going to be in great hands with our president and C-O-O right now, Mike Seafurt,
1:23.0	who's been very, very involved in a lot of the uncarrier moves that T-Mobile has done over the years.
1:29.8	I think one of the things that I want to go back and talk about is John's vision and what he
1:34.7	had when he came to T-Mobile back several years ago. He was really the one that put, I guess,
1:42.3	the company on the forefront when it came to addressing
1:45.2	consumer issues and alleviating customer pain points. One of the first things that we did
1:52.1	with the uncarrier move is we got rid of early termination fees. We also made a service very
2:00.0	affordable, very accessible for all. And I think one of the legacies that
2:05.5	John will leave is, you know, making the uncarrier be the disruptor in the marketplace,
2:11.4	but also one that is very consumer-centric. And I think with the new legacy, when we have our new CEO come on board,
2:19.5	Mike Seaford, I think that you will see a continuation of that legacy with the new company
