Welcome back, everybody, to The Incomparable podcast.

We are going to convene a meeting of our comic book club.

And as always, I will say, what we try to do with the comic book club is have this be something

that you can go out and read and get a story.

You don't have to read a thousand issues of history to understand what's going on.

And so our comic book club selection for this episode is Runaways, which is available in many

different formats, including an omnibus version of the first

18 issues called The Complete Collection Volume 1, which amuses me. It's not complete unto itself.

It's just Volume 1, but it is the first 18 issues of the first volume from 2003 of Runaways by

Brian K. Vaughn, who we've talked about on previous

episodes of The Incomparable, and a few different illustrators, I think, but primarily

Adrian Alphona. And it's, spoiler alert, it's really great, so you should read it, and then
