Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.[d] Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”

| 0:59.5 | This is where Jesus was told that his good friend Lazarus was sick and about to die. |
| 1:06.2 | And he stayed away intentionally. |
| 1:08.5 | And he says he's not going back |
| 1:11.6 | so that he will be glorified. Now it sounds odd to our American years, our |
| 1:17.6 | Western ears, our modern ears, because we think when there is a life and death situation the most important |
| 1:25.8 | thing is to rush to the place and do what we can to save that life. We brush people |
| 1:31.0 | in the hospital and ambulances all the time. |
| 1:33.0 | Life's flashing, sirens blaring. |
| 1:35.0 | That's an important thing. |
| 1:37.0 | But Jesus is revealing here |
| 1:41.0 | that there are more important things than human life. |
| 1:43.8 | They're more important things than the preservation of the life of a loved one. |
