Hey there and welcome back to the podcast. I have to admit that as a first time, second time

gardener, green beans were so easy for me to grow that I would have never thought that there would be any problems growing them. Everybody should be able to grow them.

But I've since learned that a few years of success doesn't mean that you're an expert on something

and it doesn't mean that things can't go wrong, especially with a crop as easy, supposedly, as green beans.

Now, don't get me wrong, I still believe green beans are one of the easiest crops that you can grow,

but they're not without their challenges.

So today we're going to be talking about green beans. What can go wrong?

Let me start this out by a little bit of a confession.

I'm a little bit bitter toward green beans at the moment.

Like I said, after the first couple of years, they did great.

I canned more green beans than my family could eat.

In fact, a couple of years ago, I ended up

throwing out some of the canned green beans that I had canned my very first season of gardening.

I had so much success in those first few years that over the last several years, maybe the last

two or three years or so, I've actually reduced the amount of space that I've allocated
