Today's podcast, we have a great guest today.

I'm super excited about Dr. Turner being with us.

We are going to be talking about not being alone and reaching out for support.

And Dr. Shairi Turner, she's going to discuss anxiety related going back to school, how to handle stress related to bullying, the impact of teens' mental health due to doom scrolling, and the importance of understanding mental health stigma.

And before we hopped on this call, you guys, I was just talking to her a little bit and telling her that

this is the time of year where most of you are struggling the hardest. And there's a lot of

transitions going on. And I not only get to see it in my clients, but I get to see it at home

too. My teens at home are going through a lot.

And so I'm just, I'm thrilled that Dr. Turner is on here today, you guys.

And she is going to offer us so much wisdom and so much help.

And welcome to everyone who's joined us to listen today. I am Dr. Shaiyri Turner, she her pronouns, and I'm the chief health officer at Crisis Text Line. I am an internist and pediatrician by training with expertise in trauma and public health. I currently lead the

public policy and advocacy team and the student learning practicum program here at Crisis Textline.
