I love his foundation's slogan, which is no kid sleeps on the floor in our town. If it sounds familiar, it's probably

because you saw Luke Mickelson on an early episode of returning the favor. We've mentioned

his name on here from time to time, and I wanted to have him on for a lot of

reasons, but mostly because very few days go by anymore without somebody asking me about returning

the favor or about starting some kind of a foundation or about trying to do something. It's so

interesting. It's been a hard few years for the country,

and a lot of decent people are really interested, I think,

in giving something back.

But it's hard.

People don't know how to start a foundation.

They're not quite sure what to do.

And because of that show, I get a lot of questions,

and I realized that in many cases, my answer involves Luke Mickelson.

Luke formed Sleep in Heavenly Peace years back.

We featured him on the show.

When I met Luke up in Idaho, I think it was 2017. There were nine chapters in Sleep and Heavenly

Peace. And to be clear, these are the guys that build bunk beds for underprivileged kids,

kids who in many cases have never slept in a bed. It's a huge outreach program that started really modestly, and people love Luke.

That episode of Returning the Favor reached a lot of people.
