Summary

Kate Moir accepted what she thought was a ride home which led to being held captive in a strange couple's home. Due to an oversight on behalf of her captor, she was able to escape, leaving behind hidden evidence to ensure they got caught. But it was soon learned that Kate was not the first one to be taken by this couple.

But we do want to make sure that we talk about and highlight this person's amazing survival story.

So let's jump right in. We are going to go to November 9, 1986 in Perth, Australia.

And this is when 17-year-old Kate Moyer left a night out with friends

and she walked home. As she is walking home, a car pulls over on the side of the road, says,

hey, do you need a ride? And she's like, sure. And this couple, it was a man and a woman,

offered her a ride. They take her home. Surely not to raise suspicion. But as Kate went to exit the car,

she noticed that the doors had no inside handles. They'd been removed. She instantly realized

that something was wrong. She was quickly restrained, and the couple drove her back to their

own home, where she was chained up.
