Hey everyone and welcome to get your hopes up. I'm Christy Wright and I'm so glad you're here.

Romans 1513 says may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in

him so that you may overflow with hope by power of the Holy Spirit. Our God is the God of hope, and he wants you to

overflow with hope. So let's start our week by getting our hopes up again. Today we're talking about one trap that we all need to avoid. We're talking about

the temptation to doubt.

On belief, to get discouraged and give up on the promises of God,

and I will tell you I have fallen into this trap more times than I can count.

There are many examples of this specifically in the last year,

but there's one in particular that really stands out to me.

Probably because God met me right where I was.

So last year, right around January, God started speaking to me

about this promise of the house and he was really clear and as he's speaking about

this thing and he's affirming it and affirming it. I am getting more and more

and more confident I know exactly what he's going to do. Right? Like I've got it

figured out he's going to give us the house,'s going to play out exactly this way I am so

confident I was so sure I knew what he was doing

y'all I was bold I prayed and I fast it and I acted and I did all the things I felt led to do during this season

leading up to this big promise that God had given me.

Now in January I didn't really have a timeline for this promise or these plans but on February 12th

I blurted out during a prayer, God would you fulfill this promise to me in one month?

It was one of those moments where I said something and I didn't realize what I was saying where it really felt like it was from the Holy Spirit and I was like, what is that?

I didn't realize what I said at the time, but when I looked at a calendar, I realized that one month from that day was March 12th.
