And every year there seems to be a week, just like the one we had, where a ton of players get hurt. It never fails. If you predicted that week six was going to be that injury apocalypse this year, congrats. You nailed it. We had so many star players leave their games this week. And don't worry, we're going to go through all of them today. But it led to some very, very low scores across fantasy leagues. I'm telling you out there, don't get discouraged.

Montgomery and Debo Samuel and Josh Allen and DeAndre Hopkins and D.K. Metcalf and Trevor

Lawrence was on his bench. All those guys

got dinged up to one degree or another. Basically his entire team got hurt this week and he put

up an epically low score because of it. But this was an off week for most fantasy managers.

You had lots of teams coming in under projections and that's bound to happen when you have

this many key players get hurt. Now, because this injury list is so long and because I don't want this episode to be an audiobook, I'm going to do things just a little different this week. I'm going to run through all the injuries and what they're going to mean for your fantasy teams today. And then on Tuesday show, I'm going to cover all the waiver wire ads. So normally we would do it all on Monday. There's just too much to go over though. I don't want to rush through it. So let's just go over the injuries today and keep in mind too that week seven coming up, that's going to be the biggest buy week of the season. So the worst possible time for all these injuries to happen. You have six teams on buying week seven. So add that into all the injury issues. It might spell trouble for your team. stuff. But let's start with quarterbacks here. Justin Fields dislocated his thumb on his

throwing hand. Just not great for a quarterback, obviously. He popped it back in place. He returned

to the game, but he couldn't grip the ball properly and he had to leave again. And ultimately, he never came back. His head coach Matt Eberflus, he already said that Fields is going to be doubtful for week seven, that they're going to know more in the next few days. He explained that it's a grip issue. And then Ian Rappaport chimed in and suggested that surgery isn't imminent here

for fields that the team's going to try to rehab them and they're going to try to improve that

grip strength and if it does come to surgery that would be the worst case scenario because he

would be out indefinitely at that point I wouldn't be shocked right now with the rehab thing

if he is forced to miss a couple weeks here.

And his backup is an undrafted rookie in Tyson,

Bejan, who has a really great story, but he's overmatched as an NFL starter right now.

And if they ask him to hold the fort down while Fields is out, it might not go very well.

Bejan, he turned the ball over twice in relief duty this week.
