This is great cliche, obviously, that a week is a long time in politics.

In our case, we just recorded this podcast when the news of Sajja Javid and Rishi Sunak's

resignation's broke, so we recorded a brand new podcast, which if you haven't listened

to, please do, it's called Sunak and Javid Resign, and now we're putting out the

podcast that we were supposed to put out in the first place.

And you'll see in it that we're touching actually on what I think are probably even

bigger and more fundamental issues in the background of it.

We do talk about resignations and the way in which Downing Street handles resignations,

looking at Alistair's experience.

But we also get on to really meet S.U.s, get on to Brexit, the way the Labour Party is

trying to define itself.

More fundamentally though, we look at China and Taiwan and the global recession and the

way in which that really could be, the thing that determines our next five or ten years

in a much more fundamental way than we've begun to understand.

But before we get on to that, and even before we get on to Elvis Presley and Alistair Campbell's

love of Elvis, time to bring in Alistair and how he might react if you were in Downing

Street and Chris Pintura behaved in the way that he did.

The news that just as soon as he was hoping he was clawing it back a little bit with his G7

trip and his stuff on Ukraine to then see this news story with Chris Pintura and just

to flip it around for a second.

If you were in Downing Street, how do you think people react when a story like that comes
