Summary

In life we have those wake up calls where we get the reality check that we aren’t promised tomorrow. We all know we don’t know how long we are here but how rarely we live our day like it could be our last. It’s more common to take time for granted like we have forever. In business and life we can live our lives with intention and purpose when we wake up to the reality that we are not promised tomorrow. If today could be our last what are putting off that God has called to us to do? This episode will inspire you into purposeful, intentional action.

Welcome back to another episode of the Faith in Business podcast. I'm your host, Mia Renee, and this is

0:05.0

the place to be if you want to keep God at the center of everything you do as an entrepreneur,

0:09.9

as a leader, and as an influencer. Let's get into another powerful topic. What we're going to talk

0:14.8

about today is an important reminder that I feel like I need every single day, and I feel like we

0:18.8

all need it every single day. And not just a reminder like, yeah, that's nice.

0:23.2

It's good to know, but more like, how are we going to change our day to day life based on

0:27.1

this reminder?

0:29.0

What this reminder is is that we are not promised tomorrow.

0:32.7

And part of what hit me, sometimes we really realize this when we have an experience

0:37.0

in our life

0:37.7

that it's a wake-up call. It's we all know, we walk around with, we all agree that we don't

0:45.1

know how long we're here, we don't know how much time we have, but we mostly live in a state

0:48.8

of denial about that. And you can see that based on our actions. We take most days, we take a

0:53.3

lot of days for granted, we take a lot of weeks for granted, months for granted, years for granted, thinking, oh, one day

0:57.6

I'll do this or one day I'll do that, but we're not even promised tomorrow. And when we get a reality

1:02.6

check, when we get a wake-up call, sometimes it's losing someone, Sometimes, you know, it's someone else's death or maybe you're told you only have so much time or a friend is told they only has so much time, you know, or a car accident happens and you realize that you could have died. It makes you realize that we aren't promised tomorrow. It makes you realize that we don't know how long we're here. And it oftentimes creates a sense of urgency to live your life

1:28.2

in a different way where previously you were taking things for granted. And I just realized my laptop

1:33.8

is on its last part of the battery for this recording because I already recorded this whole

1:39.0

episode. But clearly it was meant to be re-recorded and maybe I'm meant to say it in a different

1:43.2

way or I'm meant to

1:45.0

share something different. So here we go. A friend of mine was recently diagnosed with stage

1:52.3

four cancer and had to have emergency brain surgery to remove two tumors from the cancer. She was
