The guy that I think is a go-to, if there is one here in Hawaii, would be John Peisel because of John John.

And so, he's a great guy, great shape, or he does a great job.

When I was the quote-unquote John Paisel was more kind of like 1979, 1980.

I had a really strong Hawaiian team largely because of locomotion and when Mark Richards won he did his little

stint I ended up making them a board somebody had referred them to me to make

them of all things a quad because I was in the quads in 1983 and so in 1984 I made that board for Mark that ended up being a game changer

for him because he was a twin guy and he was really good at making his own boards.

He didn't know anything about thrusters or he said he didn't and he was riding single

fins so we made that one board he was blown blown away. He loved it. You know, figured some stuff out. And then I get the call. At that time, we used fax machines. I got a fax. Would I be willing to make him a couple boards? Of course. And MR. MR. M.R. kind of got them all looking and thinking, like, who is this guy? Because I had all these really good, the Tony Monises and the Bobby Ones and the John Dom's.

They were all guys that were getting a lot of publicity and they were great guys to work with.

They're all, the thing that I love about, the team writers that I look for are people that actually know what they want.

And Michael and Derek Ho were, as picky as they were, they helped me so much.

We figured out so many different things.
