Well, thanks for having me.

Okay, so your new book is called Everything I Need to Know, I Learned in the Twilight Zone.

So how did this book come about?

Well, there's a lot of answers to that. The long answer probably is to say that this book was about 37 years in the making.

That's not literally true, but it is true that in somewhere around 1980, it was the dream of my youth to write a history of the Twilight Zone and at the time I was the arts editor of the

Kingsport Times News and if you know where Kingsport is that is a little town in

upper East Tennessee,

very near the border between Virginia and Tennessee.

And I was working at a 50,000 circulation newspaper.

And I was, that was the Twilight Zone was my favorite show is my favorite series of all time it still is and I thought well

Wouldn't it be great to write a history of the show?

So I started collecting interviews back then.

And as you might imagine, Kingsport, Tennessee was not the best place
