GREAT HIKES WITHIN AND AROUND THE BELTWAY

Smithsonian Associates Art of Living Interview Series

As part of our Smithsonian Associates, Art of Living series, today's show is the second of a two part program.

The first, episode 245, aired earlier this week, when we, in anticipation of our guests, authors, Renee Sklarew and Rachel Cooper, hiked one of the beautiful, memorable hikes from their new book, the 3rd edition of 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Washington, D.C.

Part of the most comprehensive hiking series in print, the full color 3rd edition of 60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Washington, D.C. is a complete revision by the travel writers Rachel Cooper and Renee Sklarew, both of whom will be upcoming guests on the show, with their presentation at Smithsonian Associates, 8/22/18.

Do terrific views make your hike, is it hiking with family, enjoying the inner coastal Chesapeake, or Jug Bay? From Rachel Cooper and Renee Sklarew, you'll learn all about the beautiful green spaces surrounding Washington, DC, and the natural wonders that offer settings for every type of outdoor interest and every fitness level.
