1:13.4 | But before we get to that, we need to go back to July 19th of 1963 when Richard Evanitz was born in South Carolina. |
1:24.2 | His mom and dad were separated when he was just a little baby. |
1:28.2 | They got back together and they separated again, got back together, officially divorced in 1985. |
1:35.1 | Richard was the big brother and he had two younger sisters. |

2:10.2 | abusive. Now when Richard was just six years old, Joseph got into a rage. He was heavily drinking and he drowned Richard's dog right in front of him. This killed the dog. That same year, Joseph would try to drown Richard. But he failed. Richard's sister, Jennifer, would say this about their childhood. We lived in a prison. Joe was a very controlling person. |
