in Italy, my mind always turns to Tuscany and today we're visiting one of the region's most

favorite and beautiful cities, Sienna. Most visitors will dip their toes into this lovely

medieval city for only a few short hours on a day trip from

Florence. But here's the thing, Sienna has a rich and interesting history that is worthy of a

deeper look. It's a place where competing neighbourhoods buy for supremacy in a hundreds-years-old

tradition replayed twice each summer and where locals wait for upcoming seasons so they

can try their favourite sweet local treat. Joining me today is local guide Anarita Franti,

who leads tours throughout the city and has a passion for its history, culture and traditions.
