Summary

It's the consequences of unwanted sexual behavior that often motivate us most in starting the recovery or healing journey. Whether we’re the struggling spouse or the one betrayed, the crisis and damage of sexual brokenness make the recovery and healing process very necessary. But once we enter this journey, it’s not always rainbows and butterflies. As we grow and develop health, we begin setting boundaries and evaluating our life with a new lens. As we do so, we can lose hobbies, jobs, and even relationships. On today’s episode, we talk with Mike Maxwell about the reality of what we might have to sacrifice on the recovery and healing journey and why our health is still worth it all.

1:11.9	the sacrifices that we make in the healing and recovery process. Yeah. And it can seem like,
1:16.9	why should I have to do a hard thing in order to do a good thing, right? Why should I have to
1:20.9	fight for the right to party? I should just be able to go do it. There you go. Yeah, I see. When we think about recovery, it's like, I'm really trying to do a good thing, move in a good direction. And when we start that journey, we don't always realize, well,
1:32.4	in order to get there, you're going to have to do some really hard things to get there and make some
1:36.1	sacrifices that probably for every one of us, whether we're the struggler or even on the
1:40.9	betrayal side, we didn't really realize that was part of the bargain until we get
